Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

It is with immense pleasure and anticipation that I extend a heartfelt welcome to each and every one of you as we embark on this extraordinary journey together at P.S. 413. I am Saher Said, honored to serve as the project director, entrusted with the privilege of leading this exceptional new school. With over 19 years of dedicated service within the New York City Public School System, I bring a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to education. My journey has seen me wear many hats, from ENL and Special Education teacher to Assistant Principal, each role contributing to my passion for fostering academic excellence and nurturing vibrant learning communities.

At P.S. 413, our mission is to nurture well-rounded individuals who are independent thinkers, persevere through challenges, and embrace diversity. We envision a joyful and inclusive learning community where every student's cultural and linguistic background is celebrated. Through our focus on law and medicine, we will inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.

Our dedicated team of educators will provide rigorous, standards-aligned instruction based on the Next Generation Learning Standards. For students requiring additional support, we offer personalized assistance aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEP), ensuring a tailored educational approach that prioritizes inclusivity and academic progress. Moreover, we provide standalone English as a New Language (ENL) services to facilitate language acquisition for English language learners, guaranteeing each student receives the individualized support necessary for their success. We will work closely with you, the parents and guardians, to ensure clear communication and a shared plan for your child's success.

P.S. 413 offers a vibrant learning environment with engaging curriculums, including HMH - Into Reading for Literacy, Amplify Science, Passport for Social Studies, and Envision Math. We will also cultivate creativity and well-being through Art, Physical Education, and Social-Emotional Learning programs. Enrichment activities will be tailored to student interests and needs.

We are incredibly excited to embark on this journey together! Please stay tuned for upcoming events and opportunities to get involved in our school community. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to me or any member of our team with any questions you may have.

Welcome to P.S. 413, where we believe in the power of every student to learn, grow, and thrive!

Sincerely,

Saher Said
